Frontline presenters take audio technology training

Personnel from various academic, technology, and administrative units of UP Mindanao underwent specialized training on audio equipment operation on July 14-15, 2025, to enhance the quality of audiovisual and lecture presentations across the university. The initiative was spearheaded by the Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, Architect Jean Marie Juanga.

The two-day hands-on training was conducted in two batches to accommodate a wider group of participants. Serving as resource persons were industry professionals Karl Arvin Ingan-Eng of GMA Radio-TV Network and Dexter C. Amores of DXGN 89.9 Spirit FM, who shared practical knowledge and techniques in sound system management, troubleshooting, and proper handling of audio equipment.

The training aimed to build technical capacity among personnel who regularly support academic lectures, conferences, and administrative events. Participants expressed a deeper appreciation for the critical role of audio quality in ensuring the success of public engagements and signified their commitment to applying their new skills to improve future functions.
