MSU Naawan administrators benchmark with UP Mindanao’s Quality Management System

UPMin Vice Chancellor for Administration Leo Manuel Estaña welcomes the MSU Naawan team

Administrators from Mindanao State University (MSU) Naawan and UP Mindanao discovered both common and divergent experiences in a benchmarking activity held on July 7, 2025, at UP Mindanao.

Dr. Rhoda Perpetua, MSU Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, stated their intention to acquire a quality management systems certification as the objective of their benchmarking tour.

Associate Professor Ritchie Mae Gamot, UP Mindanao Quality Assurance Office director, facilitated the proceedings by allowing the administrative unit heads to present their best practices.

The visiting MSU team visited the accounting, cash, and budget offices to observe the actual processes while the procurement and supply personnel discussed existing and revised procurement policies with supply office OIC Allan Villanueva and VC Estaña.

After the benchmarking, the visitors took a campus tour to see the College of Science and Mathematics, the Fabrication Laboratory, and the Sports Complex.
