The Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) has begun producing freshly baked pastries for the UP Mindanao community, as part of its pilot food production initiative under the UP Mindanao Bakery Pilot Plant.

Currently in its early stages, the project includes the development of a distinct brand identity for the bakery products. This involves crafting the brand name, designing packaging, identifying the target market, and defining product positioning and quality standards.

These baked goods are being distributed during select on-campus meetings with visitors, serving as both a promotional effort and a means of gathering initial feedback. According to TTBDO Chief Researcher Dr. Melvin Pasaporte, the response has been encouraging so far, with positive feedback and growing interest in the products. The TTBDO will continue to improve its product offerings, taking into consideration the market feedback.
