The UP Mindanao community welcomed new College Librarian Estela R. Dequito, who was introduced at the Flag Ceremony on July 7, 2025.
Chancellor Lyre Anni E. Murao administered the Oath of Office of Librarian Dequito, which was witnessed by Human Resource Chief Lynda A. Buenaobra, College of Science and Mathematics Dean Cleto L. Nanola Jr, College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean Jhoanna Lynn B. Cruz, the University Library staff, and the assembly of UP Mindanao personnel.
Retired former librarian Dr. Briccio M. Merced Jr. visited to personally extend his congratulations to Ms. Dequito with a bouquet.
Librarian Dequito served as librarian and academic officer of Davao Doctors College before her UP Mindanao appointment.
